Good Faith Estimate
You deserve transparency and clarity when it comes to the cost of therapy.
At Practicing Wholeness, we believe financial transparency is a key part of building trust and emotional safety β even before your first session.
Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act
Under federal law (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected cost of your mental health services.
You are entitled to this estimate:
Before your first appointment
Whenever requested in writing or verbally
If you are not using insurance or are self-paying
Whatβs Included in Your Estimate
Your Good Faith Estimate will outline:
The expected total cost of sessions
Frequency and duration of sessions
Any additional administrative or documentation fees (if applicable)
While therapy is an ongoing and individualized process, we will always communicate clearly about changes in your treatment plan or cost.
What to Do if You Receive a Higher Bill
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
You can contact the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) at 1-877-696-6775 or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises for more information.
