Relationships have seasons of distance, arguments, or feeling unheard. When these instances form patterns, they erode trust, intimacy, and hope. In our couples therapy in Keller, TX, we guide you and your partner through proven, compassionate work (rooted in EFT) to break these patterns, deepen your emotional connection, and rediscover safety and closeness. You don’t have to live stuck in cycles—you can move toward connection and lasting change.

From Conflict to Closeness & Trust

Expert therapy for couples in Keller, TX - healing emotional wounds

Ask yourself:

  • Do conversations quickly spiral into arguments, leaving you both more disconnected?

  • Has your relationship slipped into “roommate mode,” where things feel stagnant or distant?

  • Are unresolved trust issues, past hurts, or infidelity weighing on your bond?

  • Has life stress, parenting, or major transitions made intimacy feel pressured or out of sync?

If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to stay stuck in this cycle. With support, it’s possible to shift from disconnection to closeness and rebuild a relationship that feels safe, secure, and deeply connected.

Feeling Stuck in a Cycle of Conflict and Disconnection?

Here’s how our work together typically progresses:

  • Assessment & Goal-Setting: First session(s), we listen to your story, identify key challenges, and clarify what you both want to create in your relationship.

  • Identifying Patterns: We examine underlying emotional patterns and attachment dynamics that fuel disconnection and conflict.

  • Communication & Repair: Learn safe ways to express vulnerabilities, repair hurts, and build trust.

  • Intimacy & Connection Work: Focus both on emotional closeness and, if it's relevant, physical intimacy—rebuilding desire, safety, and alignment.

  • Sustaining Change: Tools, “homework,” and follow-ups to refine communication, practice new patterns, and cultivate connection beyond sessions.

Typical commitment: weekly or bi-weekly sessions for several months depending on needs.

Every Relationship Faces Challenges

Conflict is part of every relationship—but when the same arguments keep circling back, it can feel like you’re stuck in a loop. Maybe one of you withdraws to keep the peace while the other pushes harder to be heard. Or perhaps small disagreements quickly spiral until you both feel hurt, misunderstood, and even further apart. Over time, these repeated patterns create distance, leaving you longing for connection but unsure how to get there.

Couples therapy gives you the space to slow things down and really understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Instead of getting swept up in the cycle, we’ll work together to notice the emotions driving your reactions, explore how those patterns create disconnection, and gently shift them toward moments of safety and closeness. With support, you can break free from the old cycles that keep you stuck and begin creating new ways of reaching for each other—ways that build trust, deepen intimacy, and bring back the sense of “us” you’ve been missing.

Our approach to couples therapy focuses on:

  • Strengthening Communication – Learn to express needs and emotions clearly without escalating conflict.

  • Conflict Resolution Tools – Understand recurring patterns and practice new ways to work through disagreements.

  • Rebuilding Emotional & Physical Intimacy – Restore closeness and create a relationship that feels safe and secure.

  • Healing from Betrayal or Trust Wounds – Work through past hurts and rebuild a foundation of safety and connection.

In guided sessions, you’ll practice new ways of relating that foster openness, reduce tension, and reignite intimacy. With time and support, couples therapy helps partners move from disconnection to deeper understanding, creating the kind of relationship where both people feel heard, valued, and connected.

Frequently Asked

Couple discussing intimacy and emotional connection in a safe therapy environment.
  • We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Most insurance plans do not cover couples therapy and require a mental health diagnosis, which can impact the length of sessions and our approach to care.

Our work is holistic and client-centered, focusing on you and your relationship as a whole—not just a diagnosis. We also prioritize confidentiality, which can be affected by insurance involvement.

To help with out-of-network costs, we partner with Mentaya, a service that assists clients in getting reimbursed for therapy. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will handle claim submissions and insurance paperwork on your behalf. We can also provide a receipt (superbill) for you to submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

  • We offer both in office sessions and virtual sessions through our secure online platform!

  • This depends on your unique needs and circumstances, as every client’s journey is different. Some clients find meaningful progress in a few months, while others benefit from ongoing support for a year or more. My goal is never to keep you in therapy longer than necessary, but to meet you where you are, provide transparency, and support you in a way that feels right for you.

  • Q: Therapy can be expensive—how do I know if it’s worth the investment?

A: Investing in therapy is an investment in yourself, your relationships, and your overall well-being. The benefits extend beyond the therapy room, helping you break unhealthy patterns, improve communication, and build deeper emotional connections. While the cost may feel significant, the long-term value—greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and emotional resilience—often outweighs the expense. Many clients find that the clarity and growth they gain through therapy positively impact multiple areas of their lives, making it one of the most meaningful investments they can make.
